The Harrell House Bed and Breakfast is Located in Southeastern North Carolina, a country block from exit 390 off Interstate Highway I-40, near Wilmington and the Atlantic beaches. It was built in 1897 of “heart of pine” and local cypress wood, by 18-year-old Jim Harrell, with 2 carpenters and 1 brick mason. A picture of the original core house hangs at the end of the central hallway. It is now a beautiful, accommodating Bed & Breakfast, combining its original rustic charm with modern conveniences. The house features four bedrooms, with the option of a fifth bedroom for large groups. The dining room is an enclosed back porch with a small woodstove, set on a raised hearth. The innkeepers are always ready to make your stay a home away from home. You will always be greeted with a smile and a hearty breakfast. Harrell House Bed and Breakfast is a nonsmoking facility, and does not serve alcohol.
